Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania

Upon arrival you will be warmly welcomed by one of our experienced African Rooster Adventure team. You’ll be taken to the Gran Melia Arusha Hotel, a luxurious 5-star hotel surrounded by lush gardens and offering stunning views of Mount Meru. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind after your long journey.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park (countryside, sceneries & Game drives)

In the morning your safari driver will pick you up from your hotel and after short safari brief you will begin your journey to the unique Tarangire National Park. One of the last untouched places on earth, the park is famous for its huge herds of elephants against a stunning backdrop of majestic, ancient Baobab trees. Many of Tarangire larger residents follow the rains to greener pastures between November through June.
There are large populations of impala, giraffe, eland, and buffalo. Thompson’s gazelle, hartebeest, bohor reedbuck, and both the greater and lesser kudu are also in abundance here. Lion pride is common throughout Tarangire in terms of predators, as are leopards and spotted hyenas. Packs of wild dogs sometimes pass through as well.
After a full day spent exploring Tarangire, in late afternoon you will head to your lodge inside the park for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 3: Tarangire – Central Serengeti

We'll take an early breakfast, as we've got a big day of exploration and adventure ahead of us! We'll begin the day with the scenic drive towards the Serengeti. Along the way we'll pass through the mist shrouded rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you might be lucky enough to glimpse cape buffalo, baboons, or even elephants and leopards in the dense undergrowth.
Upon arrival at Serengeti National Park enjoy delicious lunch at the picnic area, it’s time to explore the Serengeti itself. Witness Africa’s iconic savannah landscape and be amazed by the sheer number of animals that roam these grassy plains.
Later drive to accommodation for dinner and overnight

Day 4: Central – North Serengeti

Morning in Serengeti is an experience worth cherishing. You will wake up surrounded by enchanted sounds and smell of the wilderness staring at a magnificent breathtaking sunrise view at the endless plains of Serengeti while getting ready for a full day of adventure.
After breakfast, you set off to the North Serengeti, following in the footsteps of the Great Migration and spotting herds as they look for the safest place to cross.
Here on the riverbanks, expect to see wildebeest and other mammals gathered in their thousands, as they nervously wait for the first wildebeest to take the leap. Not only are the deep waters dangerous for calves and new-born, but with large Nile Crocodiles and hungry hippos lying in wait, animals are understandably reluctant to cross and can often move to multiple different crossing points before finally making the journey over.
Evening drive to your accommodation for relaxation and overnight.

Day 5: North Serengeti Full day game drive

It’s an early start of the day, as you head out for a full day en route game viewing in search of some more migration action to northern part of the park. Located on the border between Tanzania and Kenya, the Mara River is one of the most treacherous points of the migration. With millions of clattering hooves, crashing waters and predators waiting on the other side, this is the best place to catch the whirlwind action and enjoy the greatest show on earth
Enjoy your day along the river, exploring the northern and southern banks, watching the build of energy among the migrating herds, the first tentative crossings, until the final amazing crossing of the river. The precise timing of the Serengeti wildebeest migration is entirely dependent upon the rainfall patterns each year and so sightings are not guaranteed. July through October is when you’ll have the best chance of catching the migration action.
Enjoy an excellent view of the southern Maasai Mara plains towards the north and beautiful sunsets towards the west
After an eventful and emotional day, you drive back to your accommodation located inside the national park to enjoy a relaxing evening under the starry night sky

Day 6: North - Central Serengeti

After breakfast, enjoy the final game drive in the migration area en-route to Central Serengeti. Along the way you will be spotting various wildlife as you will still be in the wilderness. Enjoy the scenic views which are eye catching.
In the evening drive to your accommodation for overnight.

Day 7: Central Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast drive for your final game drive in Serengeti en-route to Ngorongoro, enjoying the unwinding scenery along the way. Arrive to your lodge early to relax at the lodge and enjoy its surrounding.
Leisure time, dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater – Kilimanjaro International Airport

After an early breakfast, descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.
In the afternoon enjoy your picnic lunch, later ascend from the crater and drive back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
